Hi everyone

I hope you are enjoying the weekend.

I wrote a post a few weeks ago in 'drug's titled 'humira and rash'. I received antibiotics and a body wash and i havn't had the Humira since April 4th. Well 6 weeks on since the last dose of humira i still have the rash. The dermatologist orignally said i had vasculitis and folliculitis and it may have been caused by the humira, although my rheumy disagreed. I next see the rheumy in June.

I went back to the dermatologist yesterday morning who said that my blood wasn't right and showing there was something going on with the immune system and also i still have a rash. He then said he wanted to take a biospy of the rash and that he could fit me in later that morning so i went back to have it done. I have to go back in 10 days to have the stitches removed and the results will take 2/3 weeks. Iwas rather taken by surprise by this and don't know what to think.

As some of you know i had a skin cancer on my nose diagnosed on christmas eve and had cream chemotherapy for 6 weeks and had a very red scabby nose for ages! It just seems a bit unfair to keep getting all these problems. I'm not really moaning, i'm just a bit angry about it all at the momentHuh

Thanks for reading this.

Love Shirley x

Hi Shirley,
You poor thing no wonder you were taken by surprise!! They seem to be a bit vague, did he say which bloods "were not right"? Did they give you anything else for the rash? I really hope they sort things out for you soon and good luck with the results. Take care xx

Oh Shirley you must be so fed up with it all! It's just one thing after another isn't it?
Hopefully when the biopsy results are back the dermatologist will be able to treat you so you can get rid of the rash.
How is your RA without the humira?

Hello Shirley

Yes I do remember. I feel for you what a nuisance and how upsetting it must be to have a rash.
Hope you get sorted quickly

How is RA without the Humira. I am aware it stays in the system for 6 weeks I think ?

Take care

Hi All

It looks like the rash is infected again so i'm off to the doctors again shortly.

I'm not managing very well with out the Humira. Although i only had it a short time i had noticed that i had a bit more energy and less pain. I'm back on the morphine at the moment.

My blood was low in white blood cells and the ALT was up again, which i had before when i had liver failure last year and ended up in hospital for over 2 weeks but it's not as high this time.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Love Shirley x

Hi Shirley
Sorry your having such a bad time at the moment, seems like rheumy and dermatologist need to have a chat and come up with some answers for you! How long had you been on the humira for when you got the rash? Hope your Dr can help you a bit today take care xx

Hi Shirley,

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Its amazing how you get rid of one problem and another pokes its ugly head up to replace it, I feel like that sometimes and it does really get you down, so although I dont truly know what you are going through, such as the disappointment of having to stop treatment, I can certainly sympathise and send you my love.Love

I hope things get sorted out for you as quickly as possible so you start to feel a little better.
